The CAAR will sponsor the inaugural Australia-Arab International Journalism Speaker Program. The Program will bring one key journalist from the Arab region to participate in panel discussions, workshops and networking at Storyology (Sydney, November 11- 14 2016), the Walkley Foundation's flagship event attracting more than 600 media professionals and speakers from Australia and around the globe. The CAAR Visiting Speaker will also meet key government, business and tourism contacts to build knowledge and understanding of Arab countries' socio-political, economic and cultural issues.
The Program builds on the success of the Walkley Foundation's other media exchanges. Through these programs, the Foundation has hosted in Australia some of the Arab region's most senior editors and journalists at literary and documentary festivals and facilitated meetings with media organisations and key Australian government, business and tourism contacts.
