Project Description
Korea is a world leader in cybersecurity, given its internationally recognised strength in the IT industry among other leading economies. In 2016, the Australian Government launched a Cyber Security Strategy, understanding the advent of complexity and sophistication of emerging cyberattacks. The collaborations between Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), Korea University (KU), Seoul Women's University (SWU) and the University of Western Australia (UWA) to develop smarter security solutions will provide Australia the opportunity to join Korea at the forefront of technological advances in cybersecurity. Intelligent security solutions adaptive to cyberattacks will be developed based on security modelling and analysis, which will also incorporate cutting-edge technologies, such as deep learning and moving target defense. Proposed solutions will protect existing and emerging networking technologies (such as SDN, IoT, Cloud, Smart Grid etc) against complex and sophisticated cyberattacks. This project will also provide the foundations of long-term collaborations in the cybersecurity field between the two countries.
