Project Description
Four students in media and communications entering into their fourth and final year of their degree will be selected to travel to Seoul (two in mid-January 2018 and another two in June-July 2018). Dependent on the availability of the Embassy staff, students will spend up to a week with the Australian Embassy in Seoul working in either in the Information, Cultural Relations, Education or Trade sections of the Mission. The students will then engage in professional work as journalists for four to five weeks at selected Korean-English language newspapers and broadcast organisations in Seoul.
Their key activities will be identifying, researching and writing stories for publication or Broadcasting that have been approved by their supervisors. They will undertake work in subediting and/or any other activities deemed necessary by senior staff.
