Project Description
This project will bring together early career researchers (ECR) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (Nursing) students from Ewha Woman's University, South Korea and University of Newcastle, Australia for a research symposium. ECR is defined as faculty members who have obtained their PhD degree for not more than five years. ECR and PhD students will spend one week together in Newcastle, Australia. They will present their research in the symposium. Senior academics from each country will conduct research mentoring workshop. Visit to healthcare facilities will be arranged for participants. Faculty forum will be conducted to foster collaboration. This project will build research collaboration by bringing ECR and PhD students from both universities under the mentorship of senior researchers. It will facilitate long term collaboration between the two universities in research, joint grant applications and publications, co-badged PhD programs, joint PhD and postdoctoral student supervision, and faculty and student exchange.
