Meet our 2016 grantees

Polyglot's "Sticky Maze" Tour

Project summary

Sector: Arts and Culture
Country location: Republic of Korea
Grantee: POLYGLOT THEATRE

Project Description

Sticky Maze is an energetic play space and visually wild experience that uses newspaper and sticky tape to create a huge maze. Kids and families 'colour in' the sticky tape walls with strips of paper, secret messages and cheeky directions. In a surprisingly short time, the maze becomes bewildering – a mass of misdirection and amusement with live music, fun tricksters and artful dodging.

Polyglot is recognised as Australia's leading creator of interactive theatre experiences for children, and our Play Space performance projects have been performed across the world including in Singapore, Japan, Korea, Europe, the UK and the USA. Polyglot's activities create opportunities for high quality interaction between children and their parents, through innovative artistic experiences that are educative, fun and engaging. Using simple materials such as paper, sticky tape and elastic, Polyglot aims to empower children through an active engagement of their imagination and artistic curiosity.
