Galaxy evolution across environments: linking Australian observatories and Korean simulations

Project summary

Project Description

The aim of this project is to tackle one of the most outstanding question in galaxy evolution -how galaxies get their gas and keep forming stars for billions of years. This goal will be achieved by combining radio/optical surveys of thousands of galaxies currently carried out in Australia, with the predictions of theoretical models developed by Korean researchers.

Key dates:

  • Visit of Korean counterpart, Perth, 12 September 2016
  • Visit of Australian counterpart, Seoul, 07 March 2017
