The Cricket Without Borders Exchange program has been created to introduce as many elementary school children to cricket as possible, and showcase the role Australia is playing in moving the sport forward.

The primary focus is to bring young Australian women to Japan in late 2015 to highlight the opportunities for women in sport. To talk about how the game has helped them to develop as people and encourage young children to take an active interest in a fun and social team sport.

We are also keen to promote the opportunities available through cricket to the Japanese community, especially as the men and women's teams are both active in the East Asia Pacific region. There are also school, university and women's leagues, social leagues and children's programs, plus an active two-division adult league and cup competition.

Cricket Without Borders has a long standing relationship with the Japan Cricket Association, having played against them in Singapore in 2012 and toured Japan in 2014. In 2015 they hosted a promising Japanese National team player, Mai Yanagida, for three months and will provide further opportunities, including internships, participation in tournaments, participation in tours, and coaching/mentoring.
