Summary of publication
An independent evaluation of the Laos National Integrated Water Resources Management Support Project ($3.2 million, 2010-15) was completed in November 2015. It outlines the successes and challenges experienced. This Project was one of several investments under the Mekong Water Resources Program.
Through funding provided to the Asian Development Bank (ADB), this investment supported the Government of Laos, via the Water Resources Environment Administration (WREA) and the National University of Laos (NUOL), to implement the Project.
The outcome of the support was to improve sustainable water resources use and development, protection of water sources, the minimisation of social and ecosystem impacts and the development of a sustainable financial basis for water resource management.
