Realised and Potential Economic Benefits of the Southeast Asia Foot and Mouth Disease Campaign

Summary of publication

This independent study provides an assessment of the economic benefits from the South East Asia Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) Campaign which the Australian aid program has supported since 1997.

The study estimated that every dollar invested in the regional FMD eradication campaign led to about US$3 dollars in economic benefit being generated.
