Program Briefing – Australia’s Aid Program to Papua New Guinea

Australia's High Commission to Papua New Guinea is intending to hold a program briefing in Brisbane on the 9 December 2014.

The briefing will commence at 13:30 and conclude at approximately 17:30. It will be held at the Pullman Hotel, Brisbane.

It is intended for established and newly emerging service providers who are interested in future business opportunities offered under Australia's aid program to Papua New Guinea.

The briefing will cover a range of topics. These include updates on:

  • Australia's current policy settings in Papua New Guinea.
  • A range of recent program developments, including the progress being made in implementing the recommendations of the 2014 assessment of Australian aid to Papua New Guinea.
  • Advice on a number of upcoming tenders scheduled for release over the next six months in the education, infrastructure, governance and law and justice sectors.
  • Advice on future Australian aid funded sub-contracting opportunities in the education, health, transport and infrastructure sectors in Papua New Guinea under existing Australian Government funded contracts.
