The Tenth RCEP Joint Committee (RJC) Meeting was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 23 August 2025, co-chaired by Indonesia and Japan. Australia’s delegation was led by Mr Richard Emerson-Elliott, RCEP Chief Negotiator, and Assistant Secretary FTA Policy and Economic Cooperation Branch, FTA and Stakeholder Engagement Division.
Delegates progressed work ahead of considering accession candidates, including the development of a questionnaire for future aspirants, and took stock of actions to implement the RCEP Agreement.
