Australia extends its condolences to the people of Taiwan on the passing of Dr Lee Teng-hui.

Taiwan’s first democratically elected leader, Dr Lee made an enormous contribution to advancing political, social and economic development, and left a lasting legacy to the vibrant society that is today’s Taiwan.
