Prime Minister John Howard attended the United Nations Summit of world leaders in New York from 14-16 September, 2005.
The three-day 2005 UN summit, the largest gathering of world leaders in UN history, brought together more than 150 presidents, prime ministers and kings, as well as high-ranking representatives from nearly 40 other countries.
While at the Summit Mr Howard made a number of important announcements regarding Australia's aid program.
