OECD Development Assistance Committee Review of Australia's Aid Program

An Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) review has praised the targeting and effectiveness of Australia's overseas aid program.

The OECD review was presented to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Stephen Smith, on February 4 by the Chair of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), Eckhard Deutscher.

The review recognised the strengthened emphasis on multilateralism, the reaffirmed commitment to assisting neighbouring countries in the Asia and Pacific regions, and a greater engagement with Africa.
