DFAT Secretary Peter Varghese has joined other Male Champions of Change in calling upon leaders to step up together to develop workplace responses to domestic violence.

The Male Champions of Change group has released a guide outlining how workplaces can play their part in reducing the prevalence and impact of domestic and family violence.

"Ending violence against women and girls is a key priority of DFAT's work to advance gender equality worldwide. As an employer, we must also model this commitment with our staff." Peter Varghese said.

DFAT will shortly release departmental guidance on workplace responses to domestic and family violence. The guidance will inform the way DFAT assists staff affected by domestic and family violence.
