Australia re-elected to ITU Council

Australia has been re-elected to the Council of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for 2018 to 2022.

Elections took place during the ITU's Plenipotentiary Conference in Dubai with 179 countries taking part.

The ITU is a United Nations agency that works with governments and industry to make decisions on the global communications networks that underpin the technologies Australians use every day. Australia's position on Council enables us to shape the outcomes of the ITU's important work.
