The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) advises
that concerned Australians wishing to confirm whether their next
of kin are embarked on HMAS Tobruk should ring the following toll-free
telephone number:

1300 555 135

DFAT officers are in a position to confirm - to immediate family
members only - the names of those appearing on the ship's manifest.
Media and general public inquiries will not be fielded on this
number.
