Media release from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has reviewed its Travel
Advice for Croatia and advises Australians to defer all non-essential
travel to the country.

Australians who are already in Croatia and those who find it
necessary to travel there should bear in mind the continuing uncertainty
of the security situation and exercise caution at all times. They should
monitor news reports and take appropriate precautions if there should be
a deterioration in areas they plan to visit.

Australian citizens are encouraged to register their arrival and
departure with the Australian Embassy, Mattiellistrasse 2-4, Vienna,
Austria (Tel: 43 1 512 8580) and the Australian Consulate, Hotel
Esplanade, Mezzanine Floor, Mihanoviceva 1, Zagreb (Tel: 385 41 477
433).

Australians presently residing in Croatia and who are planning to
move or depart, are urged to confirm any changes in their registration
details or their departure arrangements with the Australian Embassy in
Vienna.
