The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has reviewed its Travel Advice for Bosnia and Herzegovina issued on 22 May 1995, and reiterates that in view of the continued fighting and tensions in the Republic, Australians should defer all non-essential travel to that country.

Australians already in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and those who find it necessary to travel there, are advised to familiarise themselves with local security conditions, to monitor news reports and to exercise caution at all times.

Australians are urged to register their plans for residence, arrival in and departure from Bosnia and Herzogovina with either :

The Australian Embassy, Mattiellistrasse 2-4, Vienna, Austria (telephone 43 1 512 8580)

The Australian Embassy, 13 Cika Ljubina, Belgrade 11000 (telephone 381 11 624 655)

The Australian Consulate, Mezzanine Floor, Hotel Esplanade, Mihanoviceva 1 Zagreb (telephone 385 41 4577 433)
