The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has reviewed its Travel Advice for Bosnia and Herzegovina issued on 30 August 1994 and advises that in view of the continuing fighting and tensions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Australians should defer all non-essential travel to that Republic.
Australians who are already in Bosnia and Herzegovina and those who find it necessary to travel there are advised to familiarise themselves with local security conditions, to monitor news reports, and to exercise caution at all times.
Australian citizens are encouraged to register their arrival and departure with either the Australian Embassy in Vienna, Mattiellistrasse 2-4, Vienna, Austria (Tel: 43 1 512 8580) or the Australian Embassy, 13 Cika Ljubina, 11000 Belgrade (Tel: 381 11 624655).
