The Australian Sanctions Office (ASO) undertakes outreach across the regulated community including with industry, government and academia to promote awareness and compliance with Australia's sanctions laws.
Outreach is designed to:
- increase awareness of Australia's sanctions laws
- improved compliance with Australia's sanctions laws
- increase information sharing and cooperation between the ASO and the regulated community
ASO prioritises engagement activities using a risk-based approach, focusing on:
- sectors with higher exposure to sanctions risk
- responding to the changing geopolitical landscape
- optimising compliance.
