DFAT intends to approach the market for a managing contractor to implement the next phase of support to the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP). The AIFFP is an AUD4.55 billion facility that provides loans, grants, and blended financing for high-quality, sustainable infrastructure across the Pacific and Timor-Leste.

The AIFFP invests in projects across transport, energy, telecommunications and digital and has a strong focus on social and environmental safeguards, climate resilience, supporting local jobs and businesses and building skills and long-term capability.

The Support Facility will provide specialised advisory, technical, procurement, project delivery, and operational services to the AIFFP to support the delivery of investments across project lifecycles. The initial value and period of the contract will be up to AUD80 million over four years, with additional extension options available, subject to performance and DFAT operational needs.

It is anticipated that DFAT will approach the market for the Support Facility in Q3 of 2026. The process is expected to be an open two-stage procurement process.
