Growing climate resilience – crop by crop

When she was pregnant with her fourth child, the family was often forced to drink water from a contaminated spring, with clean water almost 90 minutes’ trek away.

Now, with training and vegetable seeds from the Innovative Climate-Smart Livelihood Enhancement for Resilience Building Project (CLEAR) – supported by Caritas with the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) – she’s able to grow a variety of crops and put food on the table.

She’s also gained valuable business management skills and joined a women’s savings group, giving her access to new income streams to build food security for her family.

The background features lush greenery, trees, and a slightly blurred landscape, suggesting a rural or natural environment. The Caritas Australia logo is visible in the bottom left corner of the image.
