DFAT intends to approach the market for a managing contractor to implement Pathways to Employment Readiness for Maiuraoim (PERforM). PERforM is a new program that builds on Australia’s longstanding support for the skills and workforce development sector in Kiribati. It has been designed to continue to support the implementation of inclusive and increasingly sustainable TVET course delivery through the Kiribati Institute of Technology (KIT) while also focusing on tertiary education scholarships and alignment with the Ministry of Employment and Human Resources (MEHR) priorities. The program will be delivered by a competitively procured Managing Contractor, responsible for strategic and operational coordination, adaptive management and engagement with Tarawa post and the Government of Kiribati. It is anticipated that DFAT will approach the market in the fourth quarter of 2025 through AusTender.
