Three members of Committee here have agreed to telegraph
individually their deputies as follows-
'Understand the Committee in Batavia has called the attention of
Dutch authorities to the urgency of arranging for immediate
supplementation of number of Military assistants. At same time
difficulties are reported concerning trip of Australian assistants
from Australia. Members of Committee think highly desirable you do
everything to immediately fix difficulties. You are at liberty to
use this telegram as you think fit.'
2. Please pass to Critchley unless matter now adjusted according
to penultimate paragraph of your telegram and if further trouble
get Critchley to telegraph officially to Committee here when we
will act.
