Summary of publication
This is the framework for planning, implementing and monitoring program activities to achieve the Phase 1 targets for road rehabilitation, maintenance, employment and contracts.
The second Annual Plan for the transport program covers:
- implementation of physical road works on all three islands of Tanna, Ambae and Malekula;
- work to improve financial, human resource, and contract management in the Department of Public Works;
- additional emergency road maintenance;
- review and updating of the road asset registers (that record the location and condition of Vanuatu's roads); and
- measures to address cross-cutting development issues relevant to transport infrastructure, including gender, environment, HIV/AIDS, occupational health and safety, and anti-corruption.
