Summary of publication

This document describes the objectives, activities, costs and management arrangements for the Vanuatu Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Sector Strengthening Program.

The objective of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Sector Strengthening program is that people in two selected provinces will have increased employment and incomes with support from two provincial technical and vocational education and training centres. In the selected provinces, the program is expected to:

• increase the number of cooperatives and businesses and their production levels;
• increase economic development; increase the number of technical and vocational trainees who find jobs; and
• enable the Government of Vanuatu to replicate the model in other provinces with its own funding.

In addition to goals and objectives, the design explains the program's origins, design method, planned activities, budget and outputs, and management arrangements (including monitoring and evaluation).
