Summary of publication
This is the design document for the Vanuatu Australia Policing and Justice Program (VAPJ). It builds on the work of the previous program of support, the Policing and Justice Support Program (Vanuatu). The Australian Government has been providing support to the Vanuatu policing and justice sector since 2000. In the past this has been through separate and distinctive programs of support to the Vanuatu Police Force, and to the Ministry of Justice and Community Services and the public legal offices.
The VAPJ design builds on the achievements of the Policing and Justice Support Program (Vanuatu), with an increased focus on improved access to justice for women and children and youth in targeted provincial locations.
