Vanuatu Australia Police Project: report to the Project Coordination Committee November 2011

Summary of publication

This report reviews the performance of the Vanuatu Australia Police Project since it commenced operation on 16 Feb 2011, including traffic light ratings of progress and sustainability.

The report highlights substantial progress in improving the professionalism of the VPF, including through delivery of 47 training courses for 668 personnel. Other reported achievements are improved infrastructure, assets and logistics (with several construction projects completed/underway and purchase of/repairs to equipment).

The report highlights retirements and recruitment and training of 30 people as achievements for workforce renewal.
