Description
This document stipulates the terms and conditions of an AusAID contribution of $6 million (2008–2010) to the United Nations Development Programme for implementation of UNDP Pacific Centre, Governance, Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Poverty Reduction and Peace and Conflict Projects.
The agreement stipulates payments of $2 million in 2008, 2009 and 2010 for activities as described in the project document. It states that the goal of the programme is to help UNDP become more involved in the development needs of Pacific Island countries and respond to challenges in governance, energy and environment, and crisis prevention and recovery. It commits the United Nations Development Programme to providing regular reports, budgets and financial acquittals to AusAID on programme progress and completion.
Amendments 1–3 are for:
- an additional $1.4 million to be paid on 3 June 2011
- an additional $36,500 to be paid on 1 October 2011 (for a Pacific Humanitarian Team workshop on gender equality)
- an additional $23,500 to be paid on 1 November 2011 to design an AusAID Pacific Disaster Risk Management Program.
