Summary of publication
This document provides an independent evaluation of Australia's Tonga Skills program. The report found that, overall, the program is performing well with good working relationships being developed between key stakeholders including the private sector, TVET providers, government, local communities and DFAT. Satisfactory progress has been made with outputs supporting the delivery of targeted, inclusive and effective skills development. The report also provides a number of recommendations aimed at improving the program, a key recommendation being the need for a robust management information system to help better plan and manage the program. DFAT has agreed to action all of the recommendations.
