Summary of publication
The study evaluates the economic impact of community infrastructure projects built through the Government of Timor-Leste's National Program for Village Development (PNDS).
The study assessed 53 projects across five municipalities including water systems, roads, bridges and irrigation systems and quantified the economic value and rate of return for each infrastructure investment.
The study found that clean water and irrigation projects yield the highest economic returns and have high satisfaction rates with communities followed by bridges and roads projects.
