This document details an agreement between AusAID and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community for an AusAID grant of $15 million for the Pacific Framework for the Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs).

Description

This document is a new agreement (replacing the previous 2007 agreement) between AusAID and the Secretariat of the Pacific Community for an AusAID grant of $15 million for the Pacific Framework for the Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs).

The goal of the framework is to reduce deaths, disability and illness from non-communicable diseases in the Pacific. The purpose is to help Pacific countries better prevent and control non-communicable diseases through effective national management of interventions. The agreement includes draft objectives, to be finalised during inception. It also includes funding milestones 2008 to 2012, implementation and management arrangements, and planned outcomes and outputs.
