Summary of publication

This Subsidiary Arrangement, signed in September 2005, expresses the understandings, intentions, responsibilities and contributions of the Government of the Philippines and the Government of Australia in relation to the STRIVE project (STRIVE). STRIVE's goal is to contribute to the improvement of living standards for rural people in the target regions by improving the access to, and quality of, basic education. Its purpose is to assist the Department of Education improve the performance of schools students in science, mathematics and English and to provide basic education and/or livelihood opportunities for out of school youth and their families.
