Sri Lanka Aid Program Performance Report 2013-14

Summary of publication

This report summarises the progress of Australia's aid program in Sri Lanka from July 2013 – June 2014.

The report finds that the Australian aid program has made strong progress in areas that are well aligned to the new Development Policy, including improvements in incomes, employment outcomes, private sector development and gender empowerment. Australia's aid investments continue to achieve positive results against the country program's first objective: improving social and economic indicators across the country, and specifically in lagging regions. The program is well positioned to develop an Aid Investment Plan in 2014-15 in consultation with the Sri Lankan Government, and has commenced design of a flagship program focused on economic opportunities for the poor, private sector development and innovation.
