This document includes a detailed design for the Pacific Islands HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infection Response Fund.

Description

The design describes the purpose of the fund as scaling up the response to HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) in the Pacific through a multi-donor fund that supports regional and national HIV and STI program implementation.

The two specific objectives are to establish:

• an efficient mechanism to finance regional and national HIV and STI strategies including capacity building needs
• cost effective management that promotes Pacific ownership, manages risks, accounts for the funding, promotes evidence-based decision-making, and coordinates well with other donors and stakeholders.
