AusAID funding of NWDP will focus on provision of water and sanitation services in market centres in Lilongwe, Zomba, Machinga and Mulanje Districts. Funding of A$17 million is proposed for support to the NWDP through the AfDB program over the financial Years period 2009–10 to 2011–12. WSI funds of $12 million are allocated over 2009–10 and 2010–11 and $5 million will be allocated from Africa WASH funds.
