Summary of publication
In 2017-18, Australia's total Official Development Assistance (ODA) to the Lao PDR was $43.1 million.
DFAT's bilateral aid program expended approximately half of the ODA ($22.4 million) to support quality basic education; improve human resources through scholarships and training; and strengthen Laos' trade regime. This report assesses DFAT's performance against the three objectives.
DFAT's regional programs and other Commonwealth agencies delivered the remaining half of the ODA over the period. Performance under DFAT's regional programs is reported separately.
