Justice Delivered Locally: systems, challenges and innovations in Solomon Islands

Summary of publication

The Justice Delivered Locally (JDL) initiative of Solomon Islands' Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs aims to inform government and donor efforts to improve justice service delivery in Solomon Islands.

This report documents the results of extensive qualitative research conducted in five of the country's nine provinces, exploring the contemporary justice needs and experiences of rural Solomon Islanders–the 80 percent of the population residing outside of the capital, Honiara.
