Summary
Outlines the approach that CARE Australia and its partners will take to improve resilience of vulnerable communities in Vietnam to the impacts of climate change.
Description
This design document outlines the approach that CARE Australia and its partners will take in working in two provinces in the Mekong Delta (Soc Trang and An Giang) with the aim to improve resilience of vulnerable communities–particularly women, landless, land-poor and otherwise vulnerable–to the impacts of climate change. Over 2.5 years, ICAM will directly support 5,000 of the most vulnerable women and men to build more resilient livelihoods and to protect their assets from climate change and disaster impacts. It is expected that over 85,000 people in these targeted communes will also benefit from awareness raising, information exchange, capacity development activities and improved planning capacity that provides more equitable benefits for women and men.
