Description

This is an independent review of the Australian Political Parties for Democracy Program, which commenced mid-August 2011 and reported mid-September 2011. The objectives of the review were to:

• Assess the developmental impact and effectiveness of the Australian Political Parties for Democracy Program activities against program objectives, and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate; and
• Advise on possible new Australian Political Parties for Democracy Program management structures that can address concerns about the proximity of Australian Government involvement in the political processes of partner governments, and continue to support the Australian Political Parties for Democracy Program to operate effectively.
