This document is an evaluation of effectiveness of Australia's contribution to improving the delivery of essential water supply and sanitation services in Indonesia and East Timor.
Description
The evaluation examines the effectiveness of the Australian aid program in improving access to water and sanitation services for the poor. The results are based on case studies of support to East Timor and Indonesia. The report concludes that Australian assistance has been effective in improving access to water supply but less so for sanitation. The report provides seven recommendations to inform thinking about future support.
