Summary of publication

The exchange of letters proposes an amendment to the Arrangement between WHO and Australia for additional funding of $1.74m to the Pacific Human Resource Health Alliance 2009–2011 for three additional activities:

• $1.25 million to enhance the quality of nursing and midwifery education programs and services in the Pacific
• $0.4 million for a dedicated program manager and technical officer in human resources and health systems research
• $64,000 for a technical working group to analyse human resources for specialised clinical services in the Pacific (including a program assistant).
