Concept design document for UNDP electoral support in Egypt. (2011, 18pp)

Description

The purpose of this project is to support national efforts to enhance the credibility and sustainability of electoral institutions and processes, with a particular emphasis on capacity development and women's empowerment.

The project is expected to:

1. strengthen public outreach and voter information on the parliamentary elections
2. strengthen technical and operational capacity of national electoral authorities
3. incorporate lessons learned and best practices of the 2011 elections in the subsequent elections processes
4. increase access of women and rural dwellers to their citizenship rights in the 2011 and future elections.
