Summary of publication
This report summarises Australia's aid program's progress in Burma in 2012–2013.
Australia's official development assistance to Burma in 2012–13 increased to $64.2 million, maintaining Australia's position as a leading bilateral donor. The department's Burma program responded very effectively to the rare opportunity to support a new, reformist government in Burma, particularly through new governance and peace initiatives and the finalisation of a bilateral memorandum of understanding on development cooperation.
