Summary of publication

This document details the rationale, goal, activities, approach and management arrangements for the Australian Sports Outreach Program from July 2006 to July 2011.

The goal of the Sport for Development strategy is to achieve, in the Pacific, Southern Africa, Commonwealth countries and the Caribbean:

• Increased capacity to deliver inclusive sports based programs that contribute to social development.

The strategy includes commitments, guiding principles, performance monitoring, and a management structure for delivering Sport for Development activities. It includes a format and requirements for program, component and activity-level reporting.
