Australia will contribute $100 million over five years to help developing countries reduce their vulnerability to natural disasters, as announced on 5 July 2012 at the Development Cooperation Forum in New York.
This brochure, designed to introduce the new initiative, provides an overview of disaster risk reduction, including why it's so important, priorities for disaster-prone regions, and Australia's commitment to disaster risk reduction and climate change adaption.
