This document lists the latest round of successful applicants for Australia Awards Fellowships.

Description

The latest round of Australia Awards Fellowships have been announced, with 37 Australian organisations selected to provide 733 Australia Awards Fellows from 51 developing countries with training and professional development.

Australia Awards Fellowships provide senior officials and mid-career professionals from developing countries with the opportunity to undertake short-term study, research and professional development within Australian organisations. The Fellowships aim to develop leadership, address regional development priorities and strengthen partnerships and links between Australian organisations and partner organisations in developing countries.

Close to three quarters of the Australia Awards Fellows selected under Round 13 are from Asia, contributing to the Government's commitment to provide 12,000 'Asian Century' Australia Awards over the next five years. The Fellowships will build capacity in a variety of sectors including: border management and people movement in Indonesia; avoidable blindness in Myanmar and Laos; health in Timor Leste; blood transfusion services in the Pacific; and dispute resolution in Cambodia. There are two funding rounds per year. Applications are currently open for Round 14, for Fellowships beginning in 2014. Applications close 19 June 2013.
