Ms Gillian Bird PSM

Ms Bird is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was most recently Australia’s Ambassador to France.

She has also previously served overseas as Ambassador and Permanent Representative, United Nations, New York and was Australia’s first Ambassador to ASEAN.

Ms Bird holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Sydney University and is a graduate of the French École Nationale d'Administration. She speaks French.
