Mr Miles Armitage

Mr Armitage is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Mr Armitage has most recently served as Australia’s Ambassador to Türkiye.

He has previously served as Australia’s Ambassador to Jordan and to Timor-Leste, Ambassador for Counter-terrorism, and has been posted to the Philippines, Pakistan, and the Australian Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.

Mr Armitage holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours); Diploma of Museum Studies, from the University of Sydney; and a Diploma of Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Australian National University.
